ArtWalk 2005 Outdoor Show - September 24 to September 25, 2005
Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History
A juried show, featuring artists from around the country. I have requested the same space as last year, in the grove of trees. If you are new to the show or the Museum, after entering the museum and go to the right. Follow the hallway around, back and outside to where you find a bridge. After crossing the bridge go to the right as far as you can. You will find me back in the grove.

Along the way, you will pass the auditorium where the indoor show is. Hopefully I will have images in there as well, but the jurying for that show is much closer to the date of the show.

I could have requested a "better" space this year since the grove is where the new artists start. But, if it is as warm as last year, the trees make a wonderful cover. And, the location at the end of the path makes a nice little circle where all the artists got to know each other. I am very excited to be attending this show again!
La Cumbre Plaza Art Show - June 4 to December 24, 2005

The 2005 La Cumbre Art Show was a wonderful presentation of local talent. From 10am to 5pm every Saturday from June 4 thru December 24. Please watch for the show again in the Summer.
Santa Barbara Arts and Crafts Show - March 13 to August 31, 2005
East Cabrillo Blvd., Santa Barbara
The Santa Barbara Arts and Crafts Show, more commonly known as the "Art Walk", is a row of Art and Craft booths along the beach on Cabrillo Blvd. The show is on every Sunday morning between Stearns Wharf (State Street) and Calle Puerto Vallarta. I will be taking a break from the show for the rest of 2005. I may return next year.

"Heal the Ocean" - November 2 to December 3, 2004

Every year the Santa Barbara Art Association and Gallery 113 host a show that is open to all artists, members and non-members alike, to benefit a local charity. The charity for the 2004 show was Heal the Ocean, a group dedicated to keeping Sanata Barbara County's coasts free from pollution. This was the first public showing of my image Yellow Tang.
"Flowers" - September 29 to October 25, 2004

I have recently become a member of the Santa Barbara Art Association which gave me the opportunity to enter this exhibit. A joint show with the Printmakers and the Santa Barbara Art Association. My image, Bee's eye view was right inside the entrance of the Cabrillo Arts Center.

My photograph, "Whispering Poppies" was in the Santa Barbara Art Association tent in the middle of the gardens, and I was a volunteer in the tent from time to time throughout the weekend

A juried show, featuring artists from around the country, and my first outdoor event. I had the opportunity to meet some wonderful people, including the other artists, and show a great selection of my work. My space was in the back wooded area off to the right as you cross the stream on the museum grounds.

The Floral Imagery of Bill Heller - August 1 to August 31, 2004
Santa Barbara Public Library, Townley Room (Downstairs)
This show was juried by the Santa Barbara Art Association about a year in advance, before I became a member. The exact room and month were chosen by lottery. Originally, I received a smaller upstairs room in May. However, the artist who was to be in the Townley room in August had a prior commitment and needed to trade with someone. The show featured thirty of my floral images and a few of my humming birds. This was the first public display of my photography. The incredible support I received from those who attended the reception and the show has inspired me to seek out other venues for my images. I would like to thank everyone who attended and gave me such valuable feedback and encouragement! It has meant more to me than I could possibly tell you!
